Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also had them long enough that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m diving into a bunch of common questions, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, check out my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where did you score your pair?
I spotted mine on discount via Cettire and purchased them that way!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, goldengooseslides.com so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.

Is the comfort worth it?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.
Discount sources?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.
- GGoose.org – where I picked up mine!
- Gilt – membership is completely free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an amazing source for new or hardly used Golden Goose shoes at fantastic prices
- Ebay – more amazing bargains on gently used pairs of Golden Goose shoes
- @likeabandit – she highlights plenty of Golden Goose deals on her IG stories, so don’t miss out
Where were you able to get your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book
What’s the cost?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the shape stayed solid.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
